Our Story
Our modern world is facing a profound spiritual and ecological crisis.
Rising tides of trauma, alienation, environmental collapse, and cultural amnesia have left many disconnected from purpose, community, and the Earth itself. Yet ancient wisdom traditions offer a roadmap back—not as relics of the past, but as vital medi- cine for our collective future.
Kutimuy: The Return to the True Essence is rooted in the living cosmology of the Andes. At its center is the sacred sharing of the Seven Ancestral Inkan Prophecies— powerful messages carried through generations by the direct Inka lineage and now being offered to the world by Inka T’ito.
These prophecies speak of a time when humanity must return to living
in sacred reciprocity with nature, spirit, and each other.
That time, the elders say, is now.
The film unfolds as a participatory ceremony—a journey of remembrance. International seekers, from therapists to spiritual pilgrims, come to Peru not as tour- ists, but as invited guests of an ancient culture still pulsing with vitality.
They enter into sacred rituals under the guidance of Indigenous elders, and through those ceremonies begin to confront their wounds, release inherited trauma, and re- connect to the divine intelligence of the Earth.
At the heart of this story are questions that feel urgent and universal:
What does it mean to heal—individually and collectively?
How do we remember who we are, beyond roles, traumas, and systems?
Can the Earth be healed if we ourselves do not return to sacred relationship with her?
Kutimuy is not just about Indigenous knowledge—it is about spiritual diplomacy. It’s about
listening, learning, and honoring a worldview that understands the rivers as healers, the
mountains as ancestors, and the cosmos as alive and interconnected. This story transcends the
bounds of traditional documentaries. It is a call to awaken. A call to return.
The story begins with Inka T’ito’s profound decision to share the Seven Prophecies—a moment
that marks a shift not only for his people but for humanity. With the spirits and the three brothers
blessing, a circle of Indigenous elders and ceremonial guides gather to welcome a group of
international participants, each carrying their own questions, grief, and longing.
The film follows these pilgrims—psychotherapists, educators, artists, and spiritual seekers—as
they are initiated into sacred ceremonies in the Andes and Amazon. Through tobacco rituals,
despacho offerings, plant medicine, and ancestral storytelling, the participants begin to strip
away layers of cultural conditioning and trauma. They begin to remember. The Andes, alive and
breathing, cradle their transformations.
